Children’s Safeguarding Board

Tilstock Safety Guardians

Pupil safety guardians project 2024/25

At Tilstock school we have a group of pupils who are our safety guardians. Their role is plan assemblies that help children keep safe.

Involving pupils in safeguarding boards empowers them to take an active role in their own safety and the safety of their peers, promoting responsibility and awareness. Offers several significant benefits:

  • Enhanced Safety and Well-being: These boards ensure that safeguarding policies and procedures are effectively implemented, creating a safer environment for all pupils.
  • Early Identification and Intervention: They help in the early identification of potential risks and issues, allowing for timely intervention and support for vulnerable children.
  • Promoting a Positive Safeguarding Culture: By fostering an open and positive safeguarding culture, these boards encourage pupils to voice their concerns and feel confident that their issues will be addressed.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Safeguarding boards facilitate collaboration between different agencies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to child protection and welfare.
  • Continuous Improvement: These boards regularly review and improve safeguarding practices, ensuring that the school remains up-to-date with the latest guidelines and best practices.

Overall, children safeguarding boards play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and responsive school environment.
