Bumblebee Class | Messy-Maps!

Yesterday afternoon in Bumblebee Class we created ‘messy-maps’!

This was a perfect opportunity to develop our knowledge and understanding of the world whilst practicing our mark-making, phonics and maths skills. Children used large rolls of wallpaper on the floor to draw maps of the school and their homes.

The children led their own learning at their own pace, whilst being challenged with questions such as “Can you find a way to let me know that that is the school?” and “How can you show me that your house is bigger than that shop?”

The group used letter and sound mats to find the letters they needed to make the words they needed. Well done children!
