Home Learning

Information for home learning

Nursery and Reception

Your child should have a ‘home learning pack’ that they have brought home from school. This pack is full of age relevant activity suggestions that will support your child’s continuous development and education, even from home. These packs do not need to be completed in a strict way. I would rather you and your child work through them at your own pace, together. If you have any questions about the pack, please email or dojo message me and I will do my best to answer your questions. If your child did not bring home a pack (due to self-isolating before they were made) please email or dojo message me. I will send over specific resources for your child to complete.

There are many other sources of educational games and activities online. I have listed recommended websites below, and given links to each. Again, any questions or problems using the websites below, email or dojo message me.

It is important that your child continues to be educated in some way at home. That is why we have provided a ‘home learning pack’. Ultimately however, please do not feel obliged to turn your home into a classroom. Your child’s mental health and emotional well-being is, as ever, a massive priority. This is even more true now. Children will pick up on the uncertainty and anxiety being caused by the Coronavirus. It is so important that they are still nurtured and cared for. Therefore, I recommend that you do some creative and fun activities with your child/children. Feel free to paint, bake, play, build, sing, exercise, play board games, watch films together, etc. These experiences are beneficial to your child’s overall development, including their mental and emotional health. This is an unprecedented situation, and we are here to help. So please do not hesitate to contact me via email (address is in your child’s pack) or by Dojo message. We want to support you in any way we can – Mr Gillespie 🙂
